About Meg's Place

Our mission at Meg's Place is to bridge the gaps within the foster care community.

Throughout the United States, we have observed a rising number of children entering the foster care system, alongside a concerning decline in the availability of foster parents willing to provide for these children.

Frequently, when a child is removed from their home and a suitable placement is not immediately available, they are left with no choice but to spend their nights at a social service office.

Meg's Place offers a sanctuary for these children who are in limbo, awaiting foster care placement. Our facility provides a child-friendly atmosphere equipped with beds, showers, and a kitchen filled with food, ensuring that while the children are with us, they experience a nurturing and less stressful environment.

In addition to physical comforts, we supply resources such as clothing, toys, and essential equipment to any child entering foster or kinship care. We also extend our support through training programs for foster and biological parents, as well as for youths transitioning out of foster care.
